Workplace OH&S Solutions created an ergonomic screensaver relevant to the company’s needs. This screensaver was rolled out across Australia and New Zealand Divisions. Together with ergonomic workstation assessments the occupational overuse syndrome was reduced by 70% in a matter of two years.
INCIDENT REPORTING
Workplace OH&S Solutions was able to assist in the creation of a Lotus Notes based reporting system. This system increased manager awareness of safety and reduced time between sign offs. This incident Database has been used as an effective reporting model in several other countries. A key factor to the success of this type of injury register was all levels were informed and held accountable.
NEW EMPLOYEE INDUCTION
Workplace OH&S Solutions recommended and introduced a company specific Induction CD Rom. This CD Rom has been rolled out to the Australian and New Zealand Divisions with great success. This type of tool ensures that all employees receive a consistent "safety message". By introducing a set format that is easy to deliver, your organisation is proactive and compliant to its duty of care.
AUDITING
Workplace OH&S Solutions was previously a 15% WorkCover Premium Discount Auditor. Now due to ongoing auditing demands, Workplace OH&S Solutions conducts compliance audits for several company’s, and provides comprehensive reports to enable management to work towards “best practice” strategies.
Workplace OH&S Solutions also undertakes OH&S Management System Audits to AS 4801.
WORKERS COMPENSATION MANAGEMENT
Workplace OH&S Solutions has assisted several companies, in-house, in the reduction of medical treatment and lost time injury rates. Through implementation and training in the management of the claim to relevant stakeholders, one company was able to reduce medical treatment injury from 131 to 2 in three years.
By applying sound workers compensation management Workplace OH&S Solutions was able to achieve the following results in one year;
- Frequency Rate from 51 to 15
- Decreased Lost Time Rates from 67 to 22
- Decreased Injury Severity Rates from 902 to 142
